Stock Rear and Ideas

Hi everybody, I am going to be getting a 510 shell from a family member soon that wants me to finish it. I was wondering if anyone knew how much power the stock rear diff can hold. I might want to find a L20B for it which would be very nice for auto racing and driving it everyday. Or my friend has a rebuilt 400 cubic inch dodge big block, Im pretty sure it will fit by seeing what other engine swaps people have done, I dont know if I can turn a 6.0 liter down LOL. Let me know what you think.

V8=stupid

R160 stock is weak as shit. NA L motors can break them.


If your stuck on the V type engines do a VG30 there are kits witch don't require any firewall cutting. A big ass V8 will just take the fun out of a dime. To much weight in the front, and who would want to cut up a classic

Sorry I'm anti-V8, in a wagoon it would be alright but I don't see the point in the sedan.
