scored a Subaru SVX LSD, now what?

Post by sean1978 »

Information I have been reading from searching is of different ages and seems to contradict each other.

What is involved with swapping a Subaru SVX rear diff into my 72 510 sedan?

What I don't understand is why people post this and wait for additional helpings of new, differing, advice.

Assuming you want the LSD function of the diff, you'll either need to machine your 510 stubs (ala Komododragon here on the Realm, posts which you need to search for) or you can modify the Sube stubs to work with your 510 setup (ala DQ 9.4).

You could also get adapters machined and swap to CVs in the process.
