Weber 32/36 DGV Question

Post by paul97 »

I just installed A Weber 32/36 DGV on my 69 510 that has a stock L16 engine. In the kit was A fuel pump block off plate and I am wondering if I should install it or not. I ran the car in the driveway using A seperate fuel tank hung from my hood hooked up to my stock fuel pump and it seemed to run ok. I am running it on the tank because The car has been sitting and I have to remove the tank and flush it out and I am going to replace all the fuel lines.

The stock fuel pump will work fine for your 32/36. The block off plate is only required if you were to upgrade to an electric fuel pump.

Thanks. That is what I thought. I do have on other problem. When I took the fuel line off the inlet of the fuel pump the metal line came out of the pump and I tapped it back in with A screwdriver handle. Should I replace the pump? I don't want to worry about it coming out again and leaking fuel causing A fire.
