the wiper motor in my 68 has bit the dust. I am wondering if anyone has any experiencewith using the 280zx wiper motor and which year I should use? Thanks in advance.

I've used a 620 PU motor on my 68's. All you need to do is change the mounting bracket; it's a strait bolt on, a no brainer! And the 620 unit goes way faster.
FYI, you may need to adjust your wiper linkage, mind started to collide and bind due to the faster action. I needed to do this on both cars that I converted.

Actually a lot of the guys with 240Z's complain a lot about their wiper motors being too slow. I think it is very similar to the 510 ones. There is a very popular upgrade to a Honda Accord motor that is practically a bolt-in - just need to relocate the mounting holes. I'll see if I can find the post I saw about this for you guys and add it here.

Here it is: 1994 Honda Accord motor - almost identical to the 240Z's. A "how-to" do the mod is about half way down the page by "Nismo280zEd"

thanks for posting, guys. I want to keep it simple if I can, so the 620 sounds good. Any idea what year 620 i should use? Im still interested to know about the 280zx or any other possible motor. Let me know what works. Thanks

Any 620 model year (72 1/2 to 79) will work. I believe the 280ZX motor has also been used, as well as a mid 80's Mazda GLC. But I cannot vouch for either as I have not does those myself. The best part about the 620 one is that the wiring on the plug is even the same!

So the movements of the wiper motors are the same? I'm about to buy parts to complete my wiper mechanisms, but there's a big chance the wiper motor doesn't work. I just drill new wholes for the 620 wiper motor?
