you have to be very careful with the amount of methanol used when you have rubber parts in the carburetor, such as pump diaphragms, tips on needle valves etc. the methanol will shrivel it all up if too much is used. There is less problems with Weber DCOE than a DGV. The pump diaphragm in Mikuni is not really rubber. Dellorto have lots of rubber in them.
