That's a really good question Jeff. I literally just grabbed an entire steering set up off the shelf "O" parts, thinking all late model 14mm ball joint and 14mm rod end gear was the same. The steering is from an unknown origin, however I think the only wagons I have parted are 68 and 69's. The drag link could also be incorrect. I don't remember if this is also later model, or is it possibly the original '69 unit that came in the car?

Very interesting, it'll take some digging. When I pull that car out again, I'll need to do some homework for sure.

Keep us posted on the good work my friend.

It's been a while since we updated this thread. We've made some really good progress and are about to put our 3D model to the test. According to the model this setup should have really low (less bump than even the wagon) bump steer. Sam, James and I got the crossmember assembled and hopefully we will have time to put it in the test front end and pull some real life numbers. I'm super excited to see what we get. here are some photo's of the progress.

Just posting this up to get the discussion going again. I noticed this pop up on my newsfeed today, definitely worth following! The more people have a shot at getting a R&P solution, the better the outcome will be.

That jig is a beast!! We are going to be getting back on our conversion near the end of the month. I wonder what rack they are using.

It just says "Brand new quick ratio steering rack, 2.5 turn lock to lock", not sure exactly which one it is.

AUS vs USA, who will be the victor!? haha

They just posted a pic of the rack mounts...

Which you may be able to confirm is the identical width as the Corrola and MRII rack - correct?

Merica of coarse!!!

I already see a huge issue with there design. Ground clearance........ fine for the guys down under, we like our cars low here. The CNC brackets look cool but whats the point? They will cost more to make and will add weight to the crossmember. They can win in bling factor, fine with me! Theirs does look bad ass though!

Slightly closer. Some changes, rack and crossmember test fitting. Double checking some things then for the test run. Biggest issue is since my engine isn't turbo.... Exhaust may need to change.....
