$510 for the front crossmember

Motor mounts $90

steering knuckles $180

New top frame washers $20

Pre order discount $700 shipped.

-You'll need to find a MR2 rack or an AE86 rack depending if you want power or manual.

-Two 510 right side outer tie rods

-two toyota inner tie rods, I forget the car but we have it written down.

Also a steering column from a 80's toyota carrola front or rear wheel drive.

Yeah, we haven't ran those through SolidWorks with the stock suspension. So I'm not sure what it will do.

Got them built and had them at Canby. Jordan took my car for a spin and liked the feel or our rack setup. Here is the link to the sight we built to sell them. www.jbcoachwerks.com

I can definitely attest to the awesomeness of the rack setup. There is no wandering or pulls due to the grooves in the road like there is with my stock steering box!

Guess What! We just installed the Rack and pinion on a S15 SR and it went great. Here are some pictures of the clearance. The only thing we had to modify was the turbo drain :( It went straight into the steering shaft. Besides that it turned out really nice! I'm not sure how well the power unit would fit. The manual unit fits great though!

Made some soft jaws so I could modify the steering joint to fit the factory steering shaft.

To add to this steering thread, Saturn's electric power steering motor might be an option to hydraulics:

^That's bad ass!!!!! I'm so going to do that instead of hydraulic power. Rich did electric power in his last coupe. I didn't even think to check for a cheap alternative like this!

I really like what Rich did on the Coupe with the under dash electric power assist. This is certainly an avenue I would like pursue. I asked Rich for an in depth review of what he did. he started the work, but then got busy with buying the new house. And his little ones are also growing up and I know what that does to time. It's still a project we should get details on and see if the parts that Rich sources in Japan, and the controller he had made, could work with parts we can source here in North America.

The Saturn option is no doubt cheap and plentiful, but where would you put that PS unit on a rear steer 510?

The development plan moves onward... :-)

Byron, no reason you can't tuck it under the dash from what I see. It seems agnostic to its position along the column.
