Just got myself a pair of Integra GSR seats . I was wondering what the best way to install these seats might be. Are there any aftermarket seat brackets out there? I don't have access to a welder or anything like that nor do I have the stock seat mounts at my disposal. My ideas were either dish out the cash to have someone (DGR/Troy) make some new seat mounts or look into buying the stock sliders and make some sort of custom bracket. Any ideas?
Corbeau make some seat brackets specifically for the 510 that might be a great starting point. You probably will need to do some drilling, add a few spacers here and there but hopefully it won't be too difficult.
I have put 2003 Civic EP3 seats in my 510 and I now have chenged them and put Integra Type R front seats. I re-used the stock 510 seat brackets and mounted the Integra seat and rail to the 510 bracket. All I did was use 10mm nuts and bolts and 1/2 x 1/2 inch square steel tubes to raise the Integra seat so the rail/slider clears the stock 510 rail. I drilled holes straight through the square tubing; and bolt holes in the slider from the integra seat (make sure the holes in the square tubing lines up with the holes you drill on the slider). And make sure both sides have been done semetrically. Slide both sides of the sliders all the way back, use a piece of cardboard to make hwere the bolts come through on both sides. Then use the template you made to mark the the bolt holes on the stock 510 rail (make sure the 510 rail is still mounted in the car). Drill your holes in the 510 rail and bolt everything up.
I did it this way because I didnt have a welder; personally I think it is a whole lot easier with a welder as you can just weld the square tubing to the Integra seat then line it up where you want it on the stock rail, tack weld it and pull it out the car so you can finish the welds properly.
I will take pics if you want me too; just let me know. I know my write up may seem confusing but it is alot simpiler than it seems.
Oldskewl, pics would be awesome. I think I get where you are getting at but at the moment, I dont have the stock 510 brackets which is why I'm debating whether or not to just go ahead and buy aftermarket brackets, locate some stock brackets, or just have someone make me new ones altogether. The Corbeau brackets at this point seem to be the most rational way to go. Should be easy enough to retrofit the integra seats onto.... right? Anyone have any experience with using the Corbeau brackets on seats other than Corbeaus?
The only way the seats would be different is if the seats these guys are talking about are from different GSRs. There were no differences in between the way the seats fit into the Integras. All DC2 (94-01) Integras have the same seat mounts. Unless the GSR in question is a DA (90-93) Integra, those GSRs were only made in 93, before the body style change and are quite rare. Chances are the seats are from a 94+ GSR.
If it wasnt so cold here in chicago I would take my leather gsr seats out of my civic and see how they matched up with my 510. I really love my crx seats but I know the brackets wont work for sure with out modification cause the front is bent on an angle. Someone with more insight on this would be great since integra seats are easy to come by and reasonably cheep.

the seat fit good all you need to do is bent up the front were you put the front bolt and the back you need a square i will show you on the pic 1997 gsr
