I will be in for well under $1k USD and that is with MSII v3, EDIS ignition and ITBs. I was hoping to be done in time for Shasta, but I don't want to work out the wrinkles driving to and from Shasta. So, carb stays and will convert to EFI when I return.

So here is the first mock up.

I was fortunate enought to get all injector hardware from a 280ZX and it mounts up perfectly. Also have the intake air temp sensor using the GM generic sensor for megasquirt mounted in between runners 2 and 3. That is a 300ZX throttle body, and it bolts right up, couldn't ask for more.

fuel rail was drilled and tapped for 1/8 NPT and they are supposedly push lock hose fittings. We'll see. If not I'll just use a FI clamp. I still need to tap the ends for fuel supply and return.

The bottom picture shows the throttle hookup. IT swings down as it opens. When I use the Lokar cable I will be putting a bracket in the pre-drilled hole on the manifold to hold the cable.

Wurker, You save ALOT of doh re me with ITB's, right? I mean throttle bodies, tps, injectors, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, and map sensor all in one piece right?

Throttle bodies, tps, injectors, fuel rail and wiring for them were about $55 shipped (ebay). No need for the map sensor - it's on the MS board ;) I'm running my fuel pressure regulator in the trunk and running only one fuel line forward. Time will tell if my injectors are big enough.

Chris, just put the hose clamps on there to begin with because a fire being fed by a fuel rail holding 45psi will torch things pretty quick - get the "efi" hose clamps like the 280Z/ZX motors use, put them on and it will be one less variable to worry about.
