KYB rear shocks part #K3118

Post by jonmorine » 17 Sep 2009 05:45

Does anyone have any input on these? I can't find the part # on the KYB website but I can get a good deal on them. I am looking to use them as a street driven shock.

Do you know the original application? A lot of the modern stuff used on 510s tends to have a shorter stroke and so is more suited to lowered cars with less travel. Applies to the common 87-03 Mustang application, the NLA AE86 app, etc.

I was told they were originally for the 510. Must be wrong because I couldn't associate them to a 510 based on a search of the KYB site. If they are for a newer application I may just skip buying them. However a shorter stroke may be ok since I will be lowering it a bit in the rear.

Thanks Okay.
