Help identify these rear disc brakes on my '68 510 4dr
Bought the car a week ago. Got trailered to NY from Indiana. Previous owner didnt know much about it. Rear suspension is just sitting on shocks, no coils at all... anyone?

Saw that car online (was it in Clarksville?) looks like a pretty good one, no idea on the brakes.

Better/more/different pictures might help. You may also find a code screened on the brake pads, that might lead to some sort of OE application.

Sept '81 and on 280zx or Maxima ('82 and on RWD) judging by the anti rattle clips.

Don't feel too bad. We've all been there. At least the previous owner was creative with their butchering. We've all seen cars that were more Bondo and JB Weld than metal. Gum wrapper fuses. Woodscrews holding body panels on. Radiators full of Blue Devil Leak Stop... ah the memories.datsun5104dr wrote: wish i knew about all this butchering before i bought it...
Hacked-in suspensions from a completely different car? Now that's a new one on me.

Kind of difficult doing some research when the car was in Indiana and I'm in new York. Also, the previous owner didn't know jack about it either. So I took the chance.goichi1 wrote:....oh, the power of research BEFORE you spend money, I wish I had all the $$$ back that I spent on junk too!!datsun5104dr wrote:no idea, just bought it. i know it is/was a scca car. wish i knew about all this butchering before i bought it...510Freak wrote:Thats not a 510 control arm.

Live and learn. Time to take some quality photographs of the whole thing and post 'em here so we can try to help you figure out what you have. Zoom out, good light, more is better...

Will do. As soon as I clean the garage and put it on jack stands I'll be able to take more, better pics. Thank you.okayfine wrote:Live and learn.
