Is this available as a single part? I have searched unsuccessfully for it.

Shown in exploded view, but not called out as a separate part number in the Parts Catalog.

So does one have to get a whole new drag link, which I can't imagine is available, or press the piece out (?) and bring to a good auto parts place and find a comparable?

There are "aftermarket" drag links out there (Moog/555). I say "aftermarket" because Datsun probably didn't make it in the first place. I can get RHD links from Aussie eBay.

Listing as new (whatever that means):

Cool, thanks for that. I'll call Troy and ask him about it.

I know the term drag link but can't find it on any Datsun parts. Where is it on a 510?

Connects to the inner tie rod ends and idler to the pitman.

So the ball joints are not replaceable, they are heat formed into the drag link during manufacture.
