Reason for replacing my front springs is because previous owner cut them way too short.

The roadster front springs can be used in the rear of the 510 2 and 4 door.

Ok thank you. That clears my doubt. Now as for the fronts. What springs can I use ?? Cause I can't find anything for sale on Google or Ebay for Datsun 510 . Everything I find is damn coil overs lol

The Datsun roadster springs were a good alternative for use on the rear of the 510 as they were around 700 lbs/inch spring rate and were very close in diameter to the 510 springs. Then Datsun comp offered a version that were 860 lbs/in, I had a cut set of these at 950 lbs/in in my Bronze car - which was built originally in 1971.

For use up front in the 510, even if made to fit, any of the above rates would be WAY to high. For tuned cars, most people are running between 200 - 300 lbs/in wheel rates in the 510 which eauTes to the same on the strut suspension and 800-1100 lbs/in our back with our semi trailing are set up.

You could phone Specialty Engineering, they might have something that would fit stock.

Too short in length? Just add a rubber spacer to lift the front the amount you want.
Too short as in now too stiff? Yeah just replace them.

Too short as in you can't even see them lol. Basically car riding with no suspension play.

if your looking for a stock ride height 88-92 nissan sentra rear springs work good in the front I think they were 123lbs/143for the fastback and work well with dodge d50s fronts in the rear. also subaru loyal gl dl front springs work well (subaru guys upgrade to ford tempo variable rate fronts something I want to try) you can also try napa 277-3180 @128 or 277-3185 @137(Excel, champ, colt). 80s accord @ 148 napa 277-3129..............and the list goes on
for the rear most 80s American dual A arm cars/trucks have a spring that will work once the pig tail is cut.

and when you've found a rate you like the stock oil filled struts can be tuned to match by changing the weight of the strut oil
