Don't know what happened to the post I made yesterday? But here's 15x7 +12 Rota RB on 280zx struts works well. Fender clearance is good also. Tires are 195/45r15 Toyo proves.

225 45 15 under a stock fender that is lightly rolled. I'm amazed it fit so well. Wish the PO circle track guys wouldn't have cut off the rear arches.

Just a word of caution with the tire so close to the strut. If you are cornering hard, keep an eye on the sidewall at that point. Even when I ran race slicks with a finger width of clearance, the tire deflection had the tire hitting the strut. And that was with a cantilever tire with rock hard sidewalls, the friction created enough heat to kinda melt the lettering off the tire..bye, bye GOODYEAR.

Thank for warning Bertvorgon. It will be a while before she's actually running. Still have long list of things that need to be addressed before she actually moves on her own power. Any wiring guys located in Nor Cal?

My tires are a LOT closer to the strut than yours are. I have 2 or 3mm space and I have not seen a mark on any tires yet. I wonder if that was because of the larger sidewall that they were deflecting that much? What size were those tires Keith?

They were 13 " x 20" tall by 9.5 inches wide, with the cantilever sidewall, super stick at the time. Likely moved more than todays tires in reality, just thought I would mention it as something to be aware off, you never know.

I'm sure with different tires mine would touch. I was very worried about it when I first put 205's on my car. I'm going to put the gopro looking at a tire for a drive one day and see how much they move.
