Rear wheel stud help

So guys I have Troys longer wheel studs up front with my 280zx hubs and they work great. As I was installing my new wheel on the rear I notice that the rear studs seam rather short. There's just to much thread left in the lug nut. Im wondering if I need longer rear studs? It doesn't look safe to me. Any recommendation on what length/brand to go with in the rear? Has anybody had this problem? I asked Troy when I was buying the new front studs form him months ago if I needed them in the rear and he said no. Now after seeing this I believe I need them.
If any one is wondering Im running Wilwoods in the rear not sure if that would affect that but thought I would throw it out there.

Thanks in advance

Absolute bare minimum thread engagement length is ~ one bolt diameter. And that is for low stress use until you can actually get 1.5 - 2 x the bolt diameters engaged.

Late 90's Nissan Quest rear studs are 45 mm long I think. Google that to get the details right.

Looks like you may have gotten fronts on the rear? Lug studs from bolt on rotor applications are very short.

+1 on Quest being one of the longest jobber lugs that I'm aware of.

Thanks for the input. I just ordered them. I didn't buy front studs for the rear. I upgraded to longer ones up front. Then while installing the rear wheels I noticed how short the studs are.

You know Jordan - three days ago I was looking fro longer studs for the ZXT, as they are 39mm long and just not quite there. But I'm not sure that another 6mm would be enough.

I did find that ARP make Subaru wheel studs in 12x1.25 in 2" (pn 100-7728), 2.535" (pn 1007729)and 3" (pn 1007716) lengths but the heads are .565" (14.35mm) so you'll need to ream out the holes to use these.

For the ZX I'd want to keep the stock 12x1.25 pitch so that I could run the original wheels and the funky Nissan only shank lug nuts that you need.

Dave at Futofab did supply me with 2 1/2" studs with my VTO wheels that were tight in the stock holes, I'm sure he can hook you up as well.

I think Nismo has some 60mm studs too. That's pretty much 2.5 inch, maybe that's what Dave is supplying.

S13 extended wheel studs are 12.85mm knurl and available in many lengths in 12x1.25 but I don’t think arp makes those. I’m running those front and rear on my 510.
