I understand the plenum fabbed. Very nice work. Where did the manifold come from? Is that just an L series EFI manifold?

Byron made them for throttles. I just milled off the throttle/carb flange and started the plenum there. I want another intake mani, that was fun to build :)

He bought a short one to fit behind the huge air dam he has. The piping is going to run under the front of the motor, the other side is going to go through the body where the horns are. Well that's the plan right now. When I start building the piping we will find out how it really gets done :)

You know Jeff, at first I kind of shook my head when you cut my old manifold apart - but you know that looks pretty cool now! Nice work.

Hudson, I made about 20 of these castings back in the 90's, they mimic the L series EFI injector configuration, only the ports are 45mm at the flange tapering to 38mm at the head just like a comp manifold for very good flow. For comparison the 280ZX manifold had 28mm port runner size at the head which is why I had to make something different – 28mm just would not work on anything performance orientated – even when adding boost!

Well let me know if you ever make another run. I'm hoping to megasquirt my dime in the near future.

You have pretty good luck with it on your dime Icehouse?

I started my megasquirt quest 3 years ago.... With a few major bumps in the road :( Dave's car will be the first one I've ran it on when we get it fired up. After that I have a few of my own cars that will get it. So I will let you know how it goes when I get it running.

That is great looking fabrication work, are you going to stick with the Bosch 036 injectors ? MSD makes some really nice stainless injector pieces for 14mm O ring fuel injectors, if you are planning on using larger injectors in the future.

I love the rising sun on the hood. What valve cover is that? I would like one for my engine.
