Dual brake masters on the 3-wheeler.
I can ship you one set of bits. PM me your digits. These were just sitting on the shelf, waiting for someone to need them; renumeration not necessary.

Re: Black and Blue '68s
Hey, I have a question. I am making a new connector from carbon fiber board 3/8" thick to bond to the intake plenum, and then the throttle body bolts to this piece. This TB has a progressive setup with two sizes of throttle bore. Should I join the two holes as in the second pic, or leave them separate like the first pic?.

Ok my brain hurts after reading chapter 1 of the Advances in the internal combustion engines......I need to read Sir Harry Ricardo's the high-speed internal-combustion engine and Experimental and theoretical investigation of turbulent burning model for internal combustion engines by Norman C Blizard to up my comprehension of the before mentioned book.

Re: Black and Blue '68s
Joel, if the OE plenum (or, more particularly, your new plenum) just combined the flows from the big and little bores, I don't see a particular reason to go one way or the other. The B/l bores aren't kept separate in the plenum, no need to keep them separate at the mounting. Do you know what page(s) the TB you're using was shown?

I admire your ambition, I am more of a empirical data kinda guy, guts you know! I was hoping to tap into the gut feelings of more experienced builders like you all, and get your feeling on it. Can't afford to model the thing.

I lean towards joining
with your injectors so close to the valves I see no need for unnecessary turbulence(no gasses being mixed in the plenum)before the velocity stacks (witch should add to the ram effect). the rotational brush you left on the stacks should add micro eddies to propagate mixing as the charge swirls around the valve and into the combustion chamber.........I think

Re: Black and Blue '68s
Also, Julian, I really was wondering if extending the throttle body tube length would make a difference. I am sure it is a tiny difference in any case.two_68_510s wrote:Pages 140 and 141 Corky Bell's "Supercharged"okayfine wrote:Joel, if the OE plenum (or, more particularly, your new plenum) just combined the flows from the big and little bores, I don't see a particular reason to go one way or the other. I lean toward opening it up and doing a kind of radiused lip on it, like the horns.

Just the air, you are right. I think I agree with joining.

Always a lesson to be had when I peak in on your build Joel. If theoretical energy were measured in octane, your thread would be top fuel for sure. Intellectually challenged as I as, I usually come away with a headache from this stuff, but everything you are doing here is presented in a down to earth, understandable way. Fun read.

Re: Black and Blue '68s
My Neuspeed progressive throttle body requires a bracket to hold the throttle cable.
I am using a Lokar setup, very simple and well made. They provided a generic bracket that wouldn't work for me.
Probably could have been simpler but what fun is that?
