Yes, if there is No restriction, the fuel would just loop and NOT build any pressure.

You could get that 240z part, and cut it down, with a hose coupling in the middle.

Yes. I have contacted the seller and asked him for some measurements. Maybe it fits? If it comes down to it thats what I might do. I do believe that the block on the end is a "regulator" of sorts to keep fuel flowing to carbs.
