Broke a half shaft.

Started tuning my carb. And snapped a pic of it while it was clean

Bought a sway bar for my sr swap from dgr.

The 6k springs are to. High of a spring rating in the front so I am going to buy some 225. 7 inch springs for the coil overs.

Is the ratio 3.8 to 1 when you are using a spring in the stock location in the rear ?

Good looking car man! I like the wheels you have on the rear there. And those trucks look sick too!

Phil and i finally started my swap.
pulled the front clip
Image

Image

pulled the engine
Image

cut the core support and flanged it to fit the inter cooler ( i wanted it hidden so you don't notice it. plus i dont like how it looks when you cant fit the lower grill trim because your inter cooler sticks out to far)

Image

win
Image

yesterdays goal accomplished
Image

we had to take the turbo off to fit the engine and cross member from underneath . so if you use a top mount measure first
with a little luck and no more issues ( yah right!) it will be running in a couple days.

Pat yourself on the back, thats a good days work.
I like the 1200, and the Starion behind it (we didn't get the Starion up here, I dreamed of owning one when I was a teenager)

yah i like me some starions lol bigger exhaust and a bigger turbo with a 11 pound fly wheel and you have a nice daily driver.

yesterday we got the car back on the ground we put the vw rad in and I maid the decision to pull it out and run the afco scirroco style rad. When i had the vw rad in the tan car my temp would jump from 180 to 205 on long hard pulls. so i figured since the bigger rad is sitting in my garage why not use it.

Then we pulled the car out and cleaned the garage and snapped a pic

Took it on a quick shake down run to the store. Sounds mean with a open down pipe. The inbound coil overs really work well with this car. I can feel the rear end articulating over the bump's while taking corners. my rear brake lines are horrible so i am going to barrow a set from a buddy and have a set maid in braided stainless.

So I have to shorten the dp and add a 4" piece of 2.5 stainless flex. Replace rear brake lines then I can drive it to alignment specialty's and get it aligned.

Then I get to pull the front struts apart and shorten the tubes so i can run sw20 mr2 agx inserts to gain some travel back in the front end add lca's
then cut a hole in the rear x member and weld in a 4 inch pipe so i can run my stainless borla exhaust that i had on the old car.

the cross over pipe I had to run to use the afco rad is already bothering me so i will probably pull the rad and have a guy I know build new end tanks and modify my thermostat housing so I do not need to run a cross over pipe

got some agx shortened the tubes hope fully they will dampen the 300 pound springs in the front. if not i will lower the spring rate
picked up a shuriken battery a steel mounting box and adapters
t3 camber plates and upper bearing tops
a friend maid my control arms adjustable
and i picked up a experimental engineering tc kit

now i need to install it all and my stainless brake lines

I better get a pedicure .

Phil was thinking we could weld a piece of angle iron to the rocker then weld the floor to that
since we cut the floor on the edge of the curve along the rocker where it is thin.

what do you guys think
