Haha wow that is awesome Abe!! A NOS Coupe door!? I am almost afraid to ask but how much would you be looking for that door? And for which side is it? Looks like my passenger door maybe?

70bird, what side is the door you are selling, and how much do you want for yours?

You guys almost sound like used car salesman haha 8) I like it!

Talk soon

My door is a drivers side door and I was thinking around $400 plush shipping but I'll get some pics of it so you can see and make me an offer if you like.

Alright sounds good, I would appreciate the photo's immensely. Just to make sure it is a coupe specific door, not a 2 door sedan door?

Alright thanks Abe, I will do a few sums and let you know regarding the door. It looks very clean though.

I am going to putting these wheels on the car:

Just picked up a set of used coupe tail lights for $125, apparently in good nick but will have to see on Friday when they get delivered by the couriers. Pics to come when I have them. 8) Same guy has a coupe windscreen also for $125 which I will be taking as well to save some money off the $600 new screen that I could have bought. 8)

Win Win so far...

Cheers

wow, you wouldn't believe that the car was so eaten up by rust by your initial photos. I hope you can do her the justice and fis her up right.

I didn't believe the car was so badly rusted hence why I bought her... :P

I plan on doing her as much justice as I possibly can. Going to be a long but fruitful journey I believe.

My friend sourced a lovely looking FMIC for me yesterday... Seems like it might do the job hehe...

Roughly $150...

Work has slowed a bit, first need to get a carport built on the side of the house for a permanent place to work on the car (my old man doesn't appreciate his freshly painted car standing outside).

Once that is done the rotisserie will be fabbed up and then I will start on the bodywork. :)

Can't purchase the wheels I posted earlier, manufacturer defect and out of production apparently. I think I might go 15 inch for bigger brakes as the car will be turboe'd and I don't want to wreck it cause I couldn't stop in time. Just not too sure about it though... :?

Received my tail lights, will post a few pics in a bit. 8)

Pretty good condition, just very dirty and the right side reverse light plastic is kinda scratched. Not bad for the price I think. 8)

Well, I am getting really frustrated with the state of things lately. Weather is totally sh&#ty as of late and the plans for the workspace construction project are falling flat all the time. I need to get out there and start doing the smaller things I guess... :|

I have a few questions though, that I hope can be answered here.. :P

Firstly, does anyone here use AmPro handtools at all? I am considering purchashing a tool chest but would like to find out about quality, durability etc of the brand? It is apparently manufactured in the USA according to this website:http://www.ampro-usa.com/profile.aspx

This is what I am considering purchasing:
Ampro tool chest.jpg

Next question is: What type and size welder am I going to need to do the bodywork on the car? What thickness and type of metal will I need to use? I think I might have asked this before, if so my mistake :) I just want to get more info on this before I go and spend my hard earned pennies on the wrong equipment... :P

Hopefully someone will be able to shed some light on these issues. 8)

Cheers

Can anybody tell me if the rear quarter window latches in the 2 door sedans are the same as in a coupe? My car came with the windows tied with wire so I'm looking for a set of latches.

Regards
