Re: 1969 510 Wagon - Green bean.
It's ALIVE.
Second datsun I saved this year.
Needs -
One heater hose from driver side to head.
Drive 12 blocks to the muffler shop with an open ass exhaust to have them meddle with it
seats...
And most importantly. A BATH

Thanks guys!
I got it running yesterday but was far from pleased or satisfied.
This was yesterdays run --
Today -
Got tired of the old nissan carb ---
I got everything hooked up today. Tuned. Pulled the stock intake off, installed another intake i had along with a weber carb. I cut the Y pipe off the exhaust, pounded it in just a little bit where it was touching the trans. Bolted it back up, rewelded the exhaust (still need to get a little more but much better now). While installing the weber i noticed that the exhaust tubes were just in the way and being a bitch. so i cut them off and welded them shut as well. Got a lot done today. Only thing not working right now is the temp gauge, it works when i ground it but not when i have it hooked up.
pics and vids...
Dont have a grinder to smooth the welds down all the way, but ground them a little and they hold. Good enough for now.
Anyone have the little pivot bushing for this? I need one. mine binds up

Cool let me know what you want shipped to 97138. I appreciate it.
Small update. Got my accelerator pump gasket in the mail. Ill install that friday morning. I has some mr2 seats in my old wagon and found a set on craigslist so I may go get those friday. Still need to bleed the brakes and see if the clutch needs adjustment. Then its ready fir a test drive.

Already tried, he would have made me a good deal on it. But i sent a counter off which would have landed him a lot more then what he was asking for that wagon. He declined. I would have loved that wagon for sure tho.

Cleaned up the floors today, and the door jams etc.. Put original hood back on, stuffed the seats in there. Got company over so didn't get to install them today, maybe friday. Drove it over to the shed and unloaded all the parts/tools i had in it.

You can see where i did and did not clean on there, its all done now though.

Not yet buddy. Brakes still need bled, seats installed. hopefully get to it this weekend but not sure. Front steering has all been done/replaced. everything is super tight. I need to take it for a test run before i deem it road worthy. I noticed after i ran it, there was a little bit of smoke coming out of the carb when i turned it off. And a little bit coming from the hole in the exhaust pipe. Not sure what thats about. Any ideas? Thinking about just running it down a backroad for an hour and seeing if it clears it up any.
Re: 1969 510 Wagon - Green bean.
Bled the brakes. Front passenger wont bleed out. Not sure whats going on there, oh well. Deal with it later. Master cylinder queefs, pedal goes to floor. but if i pump twice its right where it needs to be. Probably time for a new one since its original.
Putting some gas in it saturday night and going to run it down a backroad for a few miles and see what happens.
