Derricks 1000 deluxe

Hello ever one some may remember me from last year or so with my datsun 1000. It's coming along my main project out of my ment.
So far got he front end stripped of fenders and such next to pull the A10 and drop in a rebuilt A14 with an upgraded cam double spring lifters port and polished. Running a b210 trans with a 13lbs flywheel and a b210 diff. Have some welding to do to the body very little. Needs fenders mine are very rusty and dented but may make molds of them and do fiberglass.
Well here are some pictures of it for u all.

Then got 2 4speeds and a lighted fly wheel for $125 from Lorne steed in Richmond
Then a diff a a14 core (full of mouse poop) and another 4speed from a b210 in a feild for free in rosebud alberta

The motor looks great. Not too sure if the shop will be big enough for both Datsuns though. LOL

I'm stoked about the motor been a year in waiting to get the spare cash to get it. Got so much to play with this winter
It to small already inonly have the middle bay me and my buddy are renting the 2 bays. I have the 1000 a 72-75 Mazda b1800 and a 81 Toyota pick up. Roaster is in a field for now. One spot for customers Abd my buddy has a 53 packard on his side.

Nice shop! Going from the A10 to the A14 in the 1000 is like going from a 1.6 to a 2.2 in a 510! Should be fun.

Ya it will be a blast to drive. Plan to go home this summer in it ladysmith bc.
Is there any meets around mid July early august?

been working on the 1000 got into it alot more then i thought i would. found all the rust and repairing it all as cash allows me. need to take to work and sand blast just need a trailer. here are some pics for u all.


dont have a rottisrorie so this is the next best thing.

there is a pretty large car show in parksville on the sunday of the bc day long weekend. the car is looking great. its nice to see datsuns showing well with the common chevy and ford cars.

I went to that show last year used to go every time when I was home.
See very little import there.

Hey Derrick,
I was sent some boxes from UK with 510 parts in them. I have to tell you I felt like a pig in shit!

But aside from all the NOS 510 parts she sent, the lady included a box of Datsun 1000 parts I THINK!!

Could you look at these and tell me if they ring a bell for your car or if you don't recognize them.

If you need something let me know it is all for sale.

The trim price is from a 1000 and the rest is a series's a least. That long hose I'm not sure. What do you want for the lot?

Little update. Got another 1000 may be fixing both
