Re: Radio Flyer
back in Nov I swapped out the old smoker for a tighter L16
got it on the road in early Aug and had head gasket failure two week latter.
dropped on a new head and added a cam.
couldn't get it to run.... tossed a kit at the carb.....was the richest guy at the ajcs...lined up a L18 and installed.
on Saturday I used my new valve spring compressor, did the valves plugs and tune. vac needle so smooth
I also put some lock tight on some problematic cab linkage
on sunday I tipped a jerry can of gas left over from augusts gas run.......... I traveled down river with my tuned up L18, slamming through the gears. put it in 3rd and cruised @ 50k for a country block (about the distance of the fuel line, filter, pump and bowl)..... coff, studer caff ..... pulled off on the gravel. hood up, thumbed out screw to keep her running. today I drained the gas. primed in new, adjusted the carb and every thing was fine. I guess that L16 would have worked great if the gas run through it was any good.

its a sad day for me...
I will never forget the memories forged pounding the pavement in my little red wagon.
the car was sold today to its new caretaker John

Re: Radio Flyer
Selling something that you have worked so hard on always feels like selling a member of the family.
If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?
