here is another we are working on. this is a 1969 4dr that has been owned by ted leathey for over 30 years. kevin had bought the car about 8 months ago and began to realize it needed LOTS of rust trepair. here are some pics. we ahve been on the car for two weeks now and it should be complete in three more weeks.

we took the sand blaster to all of the areas that would see metal work then started on the repairs.

unfortunately the seals are staying in so we have to work around them. the rocker panels have been installed, fenders stripped and patched, entire front end has been fit and aligned, doors fit and aligned, right rear fender lip has been fit as it will not be flared again, the fender rails replaced, corners of the rad support and eyebrows all replaced. lots of small dents have been fixed, the rear bumper panel replaced, the lower section of the end panel cut out and replaced and lots of other stuff i cant remember. i will post more pics in a few days.

Holly crap Tyson, I have to hand it to your dedication on these cars - your quickly going to become the master 510 resto guy when it comes to the bodywork.

Hats off to you my friend.

I'm going to love the play by play on this one. I have rebuilt four dour dog legs piece by piece - they are a pain, but I'm sure you'll do a better job than I did in the past, I look forward to the photos - keep 'em coming.

WOW, lots of blood & sweat on that one. A question when doing this much rust repair? Wouldn't it been better to blast or acid drip the entire car to see what still might be hidden?
