I've been busy trying to tie up (zip-tie that is - Ha) loose ends on the dime and get the wiring all sorted out on the remainder of the defunct dash components. I was unsuccessful in locating a stock tach. harness nested among my stock wiring, even though I did find a 'blue bundle,' but I think it's for AC or the radio. After rigging a crude harness to verify that the tach. works I vested some real time making a stock looking harness (a lot of electrical tape!) and running it along the same route as the stock engine bay harness' path. It's blending nicely, but I still have a little more work to do on it to get it to my liking.

• For the first time ever I have a working Tach., blower and a cigarette lighter. Yay me!
• Still need to solve the 'fasten seat belt light,' and the added bluebird glove box light wiring. Anyone care to chime in on those?
Got a delivery from brown Santa the other day...
Decided it was easier and more cost effective to just install these then deal with a catch-can setup and tubing. They'll work for now.
Found this curved braided hose among my parts stash and decided to run with it. It will give the valve cover area a little different of a look with the filter bent oven º90+ and provides some hood clearance - not that I really need it though.

Trimmed the hose some and sourced these single wire clamps from Ace Hardware. If you don't go there already just know that it's a good place to get metric screws and bolts. Still need to cut down the clamps a bit as they're too long for my liking.

Mounted this repo. emblem awhile ago but it never quiet fit well and would fall out randomly. My plan was simply to glue it in place, but upon further investigation I found that the emblem backing was too tall in the middle (compared to the stock one) which prevented it from fully seating into the glove box door.

After shaving the bridge down about 4mm I was able to pop back on, which fit a lot better, but it was then a little loose for my liking. It wouldn't fall out, but it could rock in place with a little bit of force. I had a tube of black RTV laying around and decided to put a few drops on the mounting tabs and bridge to keep it all seated. Viola! Done deal. Fits great and no movement at all. Another item checked off the list.

I still haven't finished the license plate frame, but I did decide to use the O.G. Datsun engine block color (which I have a can of left over from my years ago) as the background color. I think it'll look period correct.
