Not to change the posts direction, but that Celica is INTRIGUING, with its list of Datsun/Nissan underpinnings..... Ay thread or link to a build?
I grew up in a neighborhood full of what we today call old school cars, with multiple 510's (L and rotary powered), rotary Mazda's and Celica's. Great time. I even knew how cool it was when I was living it.
I wish you continued progress and interest in your build, and that life doesn't get in the way!

No build on Keith's Niselica. Qwik510 posted additional pictures somewhere here...
Because when you spend a silly amount of money on a silly, trivial thing that will help you not one jot, you are demonstrating that you have a soul and a heart and that you are the sort of person who has no time for Which? magazine. – Jeremy Clarkson
Actually Keith named her Shellica because she was a bitch to restore and well it's a Celica. Keith recently completed a 2 stage paint job in his garage.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the underbody "surface" rust. My surface rust turned out to be quite a bit more.
If you can poke a scratch awl through it then it needs to be replaced. I used 18 ga. On my floors. ( both front floor pans as well as under the rear seat)

No VTO's there (not that I didn't offer him a deal on some 16 x 8 +0 Classic 8's) They are your traditional muscle car Torque Trust wheels. Personally I think they are the balls on this car.

I'm actually expecting the worst and hoping the best. I'm ready for the worst... In regards with the body every time I see it I'm thinking of just going bre bubble fenders. But I told myself to hold on til it's complete with suspension and wheels then I will decide. So paint will be last...I'm gonna rock it just like this in the mean time.
That was shipped to you like that via UPS and they didn't fold it up into a swan? Amazing!
