Haven't been on in a while. Slow progress do to family life. Decided to remove the engine and suspension to strip and prep for paint.

Slow and dirty work. Lots of underlying rust beginning.

Slow and dirty but then you have knowledge of every nook and cranny, it's a good feeling.

Yea, theres not a lot left to the imagination. I have seen all of her.
Re: My wagon rebuild
stripping a car like this(in my very limited experience) really does show all the bad spots.
it also causes you to cut out more than needed, even if a particular piece isn't bad, but my logic is that you have gone this far, why not replace a whole section, especially if it is not an obvious place.
to me it seems easier.
great work. thanx for the inspiration.

Progress is slow, but it is progress non the less.

Re: My wagon rebuild
Sorry picture under the car was tough to take. I use aircraft stripper to remove as much as I can. Under the paint there is what looks like rust threads or spiders in many areas. I an fortunate to have such a solid car. I would like for it to remain solid for the future. Steps taken on the top side where to treat stripped metal with wire wheel and a metal conditioning product from SEM. Followed up with a dtm primer to seal it up.

Re: My wagon rebuild
Ran across an available L20B block and rotating assembly. Plans to build 2.1 long rod motor. In need of a few things if anyone has unneeded parts laying around.
1) timing cover
2) block breather tube
3) fly wheel
4) oil pan if L16 pan can not be used.
