Getting work done! The goal is to drive it to Canby. We shall see. I have a small window of time before I need to do a job for someone else. So the goal is to get the engine bay done. Frank helped me pull the engine. I also build some LCA's and have a manual pedal box and RHD steering rack on the way. I don't have much time to get it done!

Well the easiest part of the project is done.. Now to decide the color, rad intercooler combo, motor blaw blaw, blaw...

What's the deal with the RHD steering? You gonna convert it to LHD and put in your rack/crossmember? One off RHD rack unit? Questions, questions.....

That's awesome, keep those bits - I'm interested in the struts as is - put my name on them.

As James said, what's the plan? R&P I would assume? Would you make the car LHD? That would be very cool.

Although I don't disagree on the LHD idea, but as far as resale goes RHD brings the $$ Yeah I ordered a RHD MR2 rack, out with the yucky steering box of death and in with the modern steering rack.

Byron I'll save the struts for you. Want my Sunny front drums as well? The coupe drums actually work really well. I just don't like how they can be darty, plus with upgradding the an SR I want a little better than 4 wheel drum brakes Sounds so old 4 wheel drums. I remember my grandpa telling me he was excited about his first car because it was the first model year of 4 wheel brakes haha.

Getting more done! Some good surprises and some bad ones. I've seen it all before so nothing to worry about Here are some updated pics of the progress. There is just something calming maybe something like meditating when cranking up the punk rock and stripping an engine bay. It's always been my favorite part of a car build. Making a nice engine bay to me is just a must.

Ordered and received the intercooler and radiator. Somehow the radiator didn't get a scratch even though this big dent was in the box.












Byron check it out! Even on a drum brake car they balance the brake pressure.

oh that's why there was so much packing in that huge box. i wish my fans dint cover the koyo stencil. since you rad is dry could you check if a stock drain cock will work ? its a real pain to have to fully remove the koyo drain plug and direct the flow with a gloved hand so it doesn't spray the fire wall . if not a blood letting grove may need to be cut.

don't need this hole. Also you can see some deepish rust near the battery tray. Worst area, I want to plastic off the rest of my garage and so some sand blasting. It doesn't need much.
