my restore and SR20DET 510 update.
Re: my restore and SR20DET 510 update.
Well, the gauges was among one of the last things to do before she is shipped out to Cali. Going to order a transport company to pick up the car next week. Can't wait to get her out here, aligned, finish the chassis wiring and enjoy it!!!

Your gauges are nice - blah blah blah. Now what is *really* cool looking is that panel where the heater controls were. What is that and can we get a better pic?????

I mean the controls themselves. Is that some remote unit, etc? What radio? I like the lighting on it.

The little remote looking thing above where the finger is in the picture is the defi gauges controller unit. It allows you the ability so driving data can be stored and can be replayed up to 3 minutes. Pause, speed play, forward, and rewind function can be applied during playback. Basically it is needed to run the defi gauges. All the sensor inputs get plugged into the controller unit and then get output to the gauges. It is what makes defi gauges the absolute best gagues on the market really at a heft $$ though.
On another note the car is looking amazing.

^ yep
and when you have the controller, adding in extra gauges takes 0 wiring, just a few clicks on the premade harnesses.

So it finally made it here. A quick 3 day turn around and the 510 is officially a CA car. Now it is time to work on the small things it needs and a few weathering issues, since it sat outside for 2.5 years.
Anyone know a reasonable rechroming place?

What did the transport cost from FLA if you don't mind saying, I am going to be in need of coast to coast transport services in the next 8 months or so.
Congrats on the receipt of the car, it was a long time coming.

$685 through dependable auto movers, I highly recommend them.

Have you had any problems with the MAF? I've heard that they need to be like 12 in. from the inlet to the turbo. I was planning on doing mine just like yours.
Re: my restore and SR20DET 510 update.
It is about 12" away like that. Haven't really driven the car yet so ill let you know on that.
