In race cars, the hose is run out of them as high as possible in the trunk, then out one of the holes in the front right of the trunk. This is only in case of roll over, that you aren't dumping gas into the cabin of the car.

the cap is not vented. this VENT should have a ball check valve (in case of a roll over), and is to allow air in as you use up the gas, or out as the gas expands.

i would think it would be best to have the hose run to the outside of the car...

Yes, the vent has the check ball, and the hose exits the trunk in the front right corner (original fuel line exit?) and vents out near the half shafts.

Have you actually DRIVEN the car though? I would want want to spend a little (lot) of time behind the wheel before moving on...
but after doing that, I probably wouldn't want to sell it.
I just have a built L series in my car, and I have been driving it for 7 years and am not bored yet.

Wow, I have been watching your great progress and the kick ass car you have put together. My jaw dropped when I saw you listed for sale. The way you built that car had me drooling, post after post, as the progress was made. Very sad but you have to move on and I am sure someone will me very happy to purchase it. I had a 06 g35 and my current 510. I got laid off and i sold my g35 before getting rid of my 510. I didnt think about it twice. Now I have a 06 evo ix mr and my 510. I love both cars. I get compliments on both cars. But I only listen to the ones about the 510. hahaha. Good luck

I think the man has so much money that he is willing to loose some just so that he could build cars, and then sell and start from scratch. that and he probably likes all the attention that his cars have gotten him.
