70, 2door project " SR20

Post by Ash510 » 20 Apr 2008 10:29

well it has taken a while for me to get off my but and post my dime . So I will give you the run down on my plan..
I had a 510 that I made into a very nice driver. but I wanted more performance in every way. so I sold it and started
a naw project . Good thing I have a understanding wife..
the new car has a sr20 det, 280 zx breaks front and back, camber plates, adjustable tc robs, and mono ball bushings on all suspention points. 250* springs with Tocico shocks up front, and Specialty springs and shock combo in the rear.I just finished putting an LSD. in the rear . I hope that this combination will give me the 510 I always wanted.
I will post more pics. as I move allong..

new wheels , they are rota RB's 15 by 7 , only problem is they measure 8 in. wide and will not fit on the front.
they do fit on the rear. I called the suplier to se if they make them in a narrower size, they do not..

yea, the front is hard to fit wider wheels, I fit 7-1/2"X17 on mine, but that took a lot of modding the datsport kit to get them to fit....they are +30 offset too.....they are just slightly inside the fenders....very slightly...

i will be running a microtech unit from Australia. there is a company up here that has a lot of experience with
SR tuninng and microtech. they have a dyno for tunning , and the last couple of 240' s they have tuned had at least
230 hp to the wheels. I will be happy with anything over 200.

Looks good. What studs are you using up front? I just got some of the ARP ones today, but had been looking for other options and couldn't find any definitive answers for longer nissan ones, other than the $8/piece ones...screw that.
