Radiator for L20
Radiator for L20
I have a 72 510 4dr with a L20, the radiator broke, what would be a good replacement?
Re: Radiator for L20
Do some searches on vw rabbit radiators and you should plenty of info to get you going.
I forgot unless it's just me the search isn't working. The vw rabbit radiator is a really popular swap. I'll try to find an article or two for you.

Is my dime pretty rough? yep Could it use an owner with a little more mechanical expertise? yeah probably. Does it look like every other beige sedan in the parking lot? No sir it doesnt.

Would a 280zx radiator fit

How did your radiator break? Easiest option is to find a 3-row on stock tanks, or get yours repaired/upgraded. The Rabbit radiator swap is well documented, as goatee has illustrated, but doesn't bolt in.
Grajeda, you'll get a lot more help, and a lot better answers, if/when you supply us with more information. The more, the better. We can't read your mind. For instance, what's your timeline for upgrading to the SR that you mentioned in your other post? Are you going to get a Rabbit radiator and then have to upgrade again when you change to an SR? This is why having a complete plan is crucial, as mentioned in Qwik510's link you didn't read.

Because when you spend a silly amount of money on a silly, trivial thing that will help you not one jot, you are demonstrating that you have a soul and a heart and that you are the sort of person who has no time for Which? magazine. – Jeremy Clarkson

That's why Qwik510 directed you to that link in the other thread. This isn't bolt-on land like the 240SX crowd.Grajeda wrote:Oh, now i under stand somemore, im just getting started on things like this, thats why im not so good at it.
For now, a three-row on stock tanks would be fine for an L20B.

Re: Radiator for L20
what broke?
maybe this can be repaired by a local radiator shop.
I got a 3 core from Rods (So called)Discount datsun parts.
He has datsun rads modified to 3 cores. bolts right in.
always give more info(specific) on ur proplems and tells us where you live also. This will tell us if you live in a area where there is alot of parts. if in NewYork parts will be harder to get!
be honest I read this book before. Just keep the car as it is and drive, take care of it.
read all of this first!!!!!!!
