Cmac,

Could this be moved to the part numberts thread?

It might be a better place for it.

Byron If you can move it that would be great. I did not see the thread when I posted it.

I'm having issues with the mod tools, but I will try and move this thread so far into the Part Numbers thread Heirfaus started years ago. It's just the right spot for this information to be kept.

I'll give it a got when I get home. Mayby the lap top doesn't like being 6200km from home.

Sometimes you just have to back up and look at a problem simply...

Thanks Jordan.

These numbers confirmed by anyone?

2 Side roller bearing 38440-N3111 (I'm getting a different part number for this one) 38440-n3100
Any input? Thanks

(Edited) Just noticed it was superceded...

Someone saying "they're the right ones" and someone actually putting in all those parts and confirming are two different things. Has happened to all of us in the past. just making sure. Thanks

I installed these parts in my car without issue. You can contact Chad at Chico Nissan to confirm as well, he is by far one of the most helpful parts guys I have ever worked with.

I used an aftermarket lsd clutch type. I had an 87 Nissan unit but found that it made a thud like noise on deceleration. I am sure it was due to needing a rebuild or adjustment but it bothered me enough to change it
Just another side note a s13, s14 lsd will bolt into a long nose rear diff. Ensure the spline count is the same. If you are at a jdm motor importer that sells diffs look for one with gobs of sealant on the rear cover chances are it's an aftermarket unit. We have seen kazz and tomei lsds but you never know unless they pull the cover for you.
