Could one of you guys with KA's help a brother out and ohm out the dropping resistor on the coil harness? The one from our donor 240SX either was never there or went missing, and I'll probably need to Macgyver up a solution. I also posted this in our other "no sparky" thread, sorry mods, rally emergency in progress.

89 KA24E coil Resistor/Condenser
Re: 89 KA24E coil Resistor/Condenser
Looks like I used up all of the wisdom of the intertubes.
Anyway for future reference for others lucky enough to even condsider attempting a KA swap in a week using a completely different wiring harness, it didn't seem to matter much which resistor/condenser combo you run as long as you have a matched set. What worked in our case came off of a 93 Pickup, 2.2kOhm resistor and a 2.2uF condenser. I can't say for sure what went with the 4.7uF condenser off of the original 240SX harness, but using a 2.2kOhm resistor sure didn't.
Also, as an FYI, the 89 240SX wiring diagrams has the resistor and condenser swapped on the wiring diagrams, believe it or not they are wired the right way.
Drive fast and take chances,
Colin
