Wagon Fuel Tank Mods f\For Swap

Post by Nismoron »

What do you wagon guys do about fuel delivery when doing an engine swap on a wagon? I've seen where the coupe and sedan guys weld in an in-tank pump from a Z31 or S13. It has been a while since I pulled the tank on my wagon, but I dont remember anywhere to fit such a mod on the wagon tank. I was considering a something like an inline bosche pump... I dont know if this will work. Never converted a carbed car to FI before. Any input on this?

I've installed the 300ZX pump assembly into a wagon tank, but I would not suggest it or do it myself again. The shape of the tank does not allow the plastic cup to be installed, and the lines protrude from the top of the tank in such a way that hits the floor.

On my wagon, the plan is an external Walbro.

All i did was weld in a 1/4 npt bung in the bottom section of one side of the tank and put a nipple in it i'm running a inline trick flow pump from summit racing. works fine.
