Engine won't turn off, help!

Datzenmike, I did put old alternator back on...
Re: Engine won't turn off, help!
Alternator works or it doesn't. If you have flickering issues you may have wiring issues (old wiring + corroded connectors = resistance). You can also uprate to an ext/reg L20B alternator.Janky510 wrote:But the lights still flicker. So I need a new replacement for it, any suggestions? Thanks a lot!!!! -John
Prior to that you should learn up on all the stuff you need to make sure you know what you're doing. If you're going to ignore your volt gauge when it is showing 18volts...why have one?
Also understand the counter jockeys at Kragen are not mechanics. You can try to have them diagnose your issues, but I'm sure there's a wall in your house you can bang your head against - you don't have to drive to Kragen for the privilege.
Because when you spend a silly amount of money on a silly, trivial thing that will help you not one jot, you are demonstrating that you have a soul and a heart and that you are the sort of person who has no time for Which? magazine. – Jeremy Clarkson
