Haven't but they look really simple. $256.00 I need to get another 510 and start making more billet parts.
An Idea doesn't work unless you do.

Finn, it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that bling.

I can only see money being made if you own the mill and value your time low. Gotta remember everything is times two, there has to be some sort of bushing/bearing, a pin or something for it to ride on, mounting hardware, coating. Not to mention design and protoype time. I see a little profit but not big money.

"Weighs less than factory hinges" Never thought of the factory hinges being heavy ? There's other parts that need weight reduction before hood hinges.

BLING guys are not racers or performance oriented drivers. For the price of those silly things you are on your way to 1/4 of a performance tire purchase, which really makes your 510 rock.

Re: billet hood hinges
as usual everybody jumps on the "that pointless buy this instead" band wagon. Just want to point out that I needed hinges for my wagon... After looking for two months the only set I found were 180 used... They needed to be stripped and painted. Luckily after two months my lost hnges showed up in s box in the basement.

Re: billet hood hinges
The person that made those hinges ended up vanishing. He popped up again about a year or two later but he never followed through with production. That was my old car they were test fitting the prototypes on. When I read this thread and see all the hating on "bling" it just cracks me up. For the life of me I don't know why someone would think that just because I happen to be a person that liked to make things look nice that I would not know anything about making a car handle. LOL! Let me just say that when I owned it, it handled just fine. I beat on it and took it to the drags, and even auto crossed it. Just because I kept my engine bay cleaned up did not mean the car didn't drive well. Anyone happen to actually know that the engine you see in that pic came straight out of the junkyard and sprayed with simple green and cleaned up a bit and has been beat on for 9 years? lol! Don't let the "bling" fool you. That car was driven hard during its life with me. I had much fun with it and that junk yard motor is still going strong to this day with its new owner. In any car world I have found that no matter what kind of car you drive there will always be different groups of people that have different tastes on what a car should look and drive like. Thats cool I can get down with that. I miss my car and that old school smell when I get in it.

Different strokes for different folks, and you say as much at the end of your post.
