That does look a bit like mine on my 73', I can take a better picture of mine for you tomorrow if you like, then you can compare.

Here are some pictures of my factory antenna. As you can see, there is a nice chromed finish piece that pops off the reveal the bottom screw.
Hope that helps, if your indexing is the same, of the mounting screw at the bottom, it maybe an aftermarket replacement.

I bought an ebay item because it looked the part and was told it was chrome. Turned out to be chrome plastic. Id rather have a rough old one than a new plastic item. Buts that's just me. Thanks again everyone, should be posting some build updates soon. Lots going on

I'd be surprised if it isn't actually stainless.
