Below is a quote from the US. I can ask if they give a better price for 10 and what the Shipping would be. I can import them myself at minimal cost. The prices below are in USD.

WINDSHIELD PART # FW204BTN (BLUE TINT)
COST $ 233.75

FREIGHT COST TO COMMERCIAL ADDRESS TO CANADA $250.00
FREIGHT COST TO COMMERCIAL ADDRESS LOWER 48 $125.00

TO CANADA YOU WOULD NEED TO PROVIDE CUSTOMS BROKER
& PHONE NUMBER

THANKS, CURT
PILKINGTON CLASSICS

No real savings there.

233 + 125 = 358 USD x 1.26 exchange roughly = 451.00 CDN, plus whatever brokerage divided by 10.

I think it is just an expensive proposition now what with our weakening CDN dollar.

My sell exchange was 1.2598 on Friday, so I can only imagine what Visa, etc might charge.

If they are making these new, why would they be cheap, specially with the quality of Pilkington.

My glass guy said he could try to grind another 20.00 off???? Likely both of us are ultimately getting them from the same place

I have asked him if he can do anything on the price and what shipping on 10 would be anyway. If he can get the price on shipping down to $400-$500 and the price on the glass down a bit we could save some on them. It will only cost me $15-$20 per windshield to import. I'm not using a broker. I do it myself so all I have to pay is Gst on them.

So lets say our cost via me, at the plant in Richmond, is 462.00 tax in, with maybe 20.00 off.

See what you can do Norm,

I think this 400+ price will put a lot of people off now, but.....if you need a windshield it's just the price of entry.

I heard back from CURT at PILKINGTON CLASSICS USA and they only have 2 windshields available so that is out.

I can tell by the quietness of this thread now that the price has taken out everybody at this point.

thanks for checking Norm, we will see how it progresses from here.

You can still count me in. The windshield I've got now is actually in pretty good shape considering the 1982 BC motor vehicle inspection sticker but its best days are behind it.
