I hope this helps. Measurements are to the first body line on the seam of the fender.

My front fenders are fiberglass but the holes should be more or less in the proper orientation.

Of course it made a difference, else why risk doing it? Now, whether it changed the outcome of anything (and why the $6B NFL left home teams in charge of the most critical piece of equipment)...?
