Corbeau Seat Brackets

Post by loungin112 »

So, I ordered a pair of Corbeau seat brackets for my (72) 510. With shipping and opting for the double sliders the total came to ~$250.

Welds seemed solid, wrinkle finish was nice. The Corbeau bolt pattern is 11" side to side, 13" front to back.

Instead of three mounting points per rail, you get two. One front, one rear. I plugged the remaining bole in the floorboard with another nut/bolt. Instructions say to install the brackets first and then install the seat. I followed the destructions the first time and decided they were dumb. Install the bracket to the seat first then install into car. Much easier.

I sandwiched the seatbelt bracket under the rear mounting point and added a few washers on the opposite side to keep it level. Perhaps a little obsessive but it would bug me if I didn't...even if I couldn't feel the seat tilting 1/8" to center.

Here are the results:

Sorry David. I must say that I am not practiced at posting pics on the site. I added the coding as an IMG from photobucket. They show for me but if there is a better way to do it let me know so I can edit the posting.

PS - photos are with my phone. I can take additional photos when the car gets back from the shop. Just let me know what you would like to see.
