Did the 510s have a black paint option?

I know it exists, but it took me a little while to find good documentation of the 510 in black.

It's paint code 505, called Thunder Black.

Member Jason here has a wagon that is original black, and I have once seen a 2dr sedan in original black. Those are the only two cars I have ever seen that were originally black from the factory. Not a common paint scheme on a 510.

Thank-you Byron. Heard it was either rare or not at all.

Yep, pretty rare Mike.

Not are rare as a 3 on the tree car like Ole Blue, but still rare to see a factory black 510 anywhere.

In fact who here on the realm - other than Jason - actually currently has a factory black PL510, or can even document one? I bet we don't find 5 cars in our crowd. And yes, that is a challenge :-)

When I went and found the owner of the Black goon he told me it was "one of six Black 510s in Canada for 69"...dunno what that represents as percentage sold?

Wish I had the resources etc to have kept the goon, but the way life is had I kept it it wouldn't have been worth keeping by now, ok back to Black!
