Rear 1/4 Foam

Post by slowerthantime »

I'm replacing the rear quarters on my 2 door. There is an internal vertical brace that runs up from the wheel house and supports the panel. During manufacture there was some kind of black foam taped to the outside of the brace and sandwiched between the panel. Guessing it's anti vibration.

There isn't much left but it looks like closed cell foam or neoprene. Does anyone know what products work for that application? Thanks.

I shoved a round hose in there and caked the flexible heavy bodied seam sealer over the top just like factory did.

I would recommend one of the SEM products, such as;
https://www.amazon.com/SEM-39357-Flexib ... 87DDZ8C1J7

They also have a vibration control product and a rigid foam product.
