Alternator - T1 and T2

Post by VelvetHammer »

This is a 55A Hitachi/Nissan alternator.

Anyone remember which spade is which, and were do they get hooked up.

As I remember, one is sensing (connects to BAT) and one goes to dash Alt light? I think my Alt light was alway slightly glowing, and I need to add a resistor somewhere. I think.

I drove for 3-4 years with them reversed without harm. Never noticed the red light didn't come on with the key before start. Wasn't till I put a volt gauge in that I noticed something odd.
