Long Time Lurker New Poster

Post by sixstring4as » 15 Oct 2020 11:58

Hey all,

I've been in the 510 game for ~20 years. I have a 69 2 door that I did a 13b conversion in about 10 years ago and now I'm putting a T2 13b in. Lots of modifications and sheet metal work done and coming. Will be needing a lot of Datsun parts soon as Im wrapping up acquiring all the rotary parts I need.

Here it is 10 years ago, (basically the same since it was in storage). I'll create a build thread soon.

Welcome to the Realm.

Rotary conversations were a big thing in the 80's and 90's - before the FJ and then SR / KA motors became readily available.
Hell, rotary conversions are still happening

Rotary's offer a cool package, low, compact and a bit offbeat. And like anything else - a little work, ingenuity and some parts - they can go pretty damn fast too.

Good to have a new car on the site, look forward to your posts and progress.

Thanks! Yes, its my second version. The first NA carbed 13b was pretty quick, this will be substantially faster. I will have to detune it to get the tires to hold. I recently found out the firs 13b was bad, and threw around a number of motor options including the SR20 and CA18. The reason I went with the 13b turbo is because of their sound.
