Introduce this!

Post by Colin »

Hey,

I build and co-drive rally cars. One of them happened to be a 510. Thats about it.

Ok, so here is the question...that only a 510 guy would know:

WHAT.... is the air speed velocity, of a two up laden rally car, after hitting the small whoop on the Trail Of the Pines course, with half a tank of fuel, a Halda Tripmaster, intermediate tires, and 1 lunch box containing 2 sardine sandwhiches and half a banana....?

HA!.....All kinda valid questions..but ( I'm wondering about all of you out there....)

A TRUE 510 guy would know this was a trick question.....the car NEVER got to the whoop, as that is in Stage 3...

It rolled itself up into a ball on Stage 2, due to the rear toe-OUT situation, on the hairpin corner, halfway down the hill.!

At least I can see that you have to have a crazy sense of humour to get on this site.....

Iron oxide is 22.3% heavier than just plain iron, so yeah hauling all that rust around must be taken into account.... unless something like a bumper 'rusts off', then the car would be lighter.

Whole wheat multi-grain so with all that fiber the driver would likely be 'lighter' than a meat eater.

Nice. I should say the last one was a 510. Being a US American you have to factor in my extra girth, but even then the answer is 0 since the car is too slow to catch air on a yump, without a 1/2 mile downhill straight, a 30 mph tailwind, and me pushing.
