Introduction

Post by Jamesc01 »

How is eveyone doing today. I have recently became very interested in the 510. I am looking for a 1972 2dr coupe. I need something to fix up. I am in the military currently serving in Afghanistan and will be headed home soon. Hoping to find a car in Colorado Springs, Colorado or Atlanta, GA. Look forward to working with everyone on the forum.

Welcome Mr. James,

We welcome your input and contributions to this quirky community (or should I say our little hippie collective) we call The 510 Realm.

Be careful over there and stay safe.

Hello James,

To clarify, are you looking for a Bluebird Coupe, or a USDM 510 two-door sedan?

We have this piece of info collected together covering some points to look at when looking over your prospective 510 for sale:

And there's this, some suggestions for new 510 owners:

Not to mention other FAQs:

CO and GA aren't exacly rife with 510s. If, from Colorado, you can expand your search distance to include the left coast, the number of possible cars will increase by a couple orders of magnitude. Likewise, if from GA you can expand up north toward D.C., say, more cars will come into your range.

Also, if you are looking now (seriously, or just somewhat seriously unless the right car comes along), you might want to list out your budget, desired modifications (if any), appetite for rust/body/paint repair, and your general plan for owning/modifying/driving. Just helps us steer you towards cars we know are for sale.
