Hi, I recently aquired a 72 510 that I will be running in vintage racing. The car is currently set up as an "endrance racer" to comply with the old SCCA endurance specs - moderatly modded suspension and stock drive train. The rest of the car is full race - caged and stripped.

In order to run with the pack in current B Sedan based vintage classes I will be going full race on the suspension with TTT components, upgrading the trans to a 5 speed and eventually building an engine.

I have a spare 1.6 block and an 1800 crank so my inclination is to go with an 1800 and attempt to get as close to 1800 lbs as possible (currently just under 2000#).

Learning a bunch from these and other forums.
