Mailing will likely be a week for the ones that don't cross a border - for you east coast guys I'll bet on two weeks I'd think - being Christmas and all.
I'm pretty curious about how long it'll take for Rich to get his in Japan!
I look forward to the updates. The local guys should receive them by the end of this week – maybe – but hopefully before X-mass.

I still have three calendars left, but I'm out of this years back issue bonus mailing. A little X-mass 510 Club of BC reading material special for those who jumped in early.
I'm off for the next four days to Tacoma for more big, ugly, dirty work aboard a Matson Box Ship; I hope I survive the roads on my usual 4 hour drive down from Vancouver, giving the recent snow we just received in our normally rain loving Pacific NW.

thanks Byron, and good luck with the container tanker.. I have a Matson bin in my backyard.

a friend of mine guides kayaks in Haida Gwaii. on the side of a container on a ship that cruised past them was painted "Attention Walmart Shoppers , your shit has arrived."

Merlin, that's freekin hilarious!

That ("shit") can be said for more than 80% of what does arrive on the ships, we just load 'em up with raw materials and send 'em back. My brother worked as a private contractor for Customs Canada, you should hear of some of the stories tha the has in his ~ one year at that job. It's bloody crazy what (and how) things arrive here, and who comes to claim them. Ever hear of a container being stolen from a ship? - he's 'em get taken right off the dock - tell me there's no inside connections there! On another note, you know all those car carriers that land cars here, just get loaded full of timber and send back to Asia...sad really. I'd rather see finished products being shipped out instead of raw wood, coal, ore, and sulfur that we do ship....but that's another rant!

Brian, thanks, and you have a merry X-mass with your little guy as well.
