Sorry I did not make it gang, had a bunch of "stuff" I had to deal with yesterday.

Is there going to be a newsletter....I have a couple of stories in limbo, and if not, I will post to the Realm.

If I remember correctly, the new directors are
  • Aron H. = President
  • Ron S. = Vice President
  • Byron M. = Treasurer/Registrar
  • Richard N, = Editor (edited by byron)
  • James McM. = Coordinator
  • Ray S. = Coordinator
Denis resigned as newsletter editor (I don't blame him!); no one stepped up as newsletter editor to maintain it in the old form so the old style of monthly newsletter has officially ended (until/unless someone wants to resurrect it?). It didn't die because we killed it, but because the internet exists, and most people desire instant gratification rather than a printed newsletter with the inherent delays of the format.

Denis, thank you very much for the newletters you produced; they were always made with care and precision, and always much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed.

Instead of monthly newsletters, the club's new aim is to produce/organize four (quasi-quarterly) mailouts, not necessarily in a booklet style, but as whatever fits the occasion...
  • A calendar
  • a reminder/info sheet for the spring show
  • a reminder/info sheet for the AGM
  • a reminder/info sheet for the "All Nissan Meet"
So that's it. 21st year. Club is still alive. As James said, thanks to Richard for pulling together the AGM, and keeping things going last year. Thanks to the outgoing directors for their contributions. Thanks for the incoming directors for volunteering. Good times ahead for another year.

so it was a good turn out for the agm, considering the weather was not that good, I think 5 510s showed up, and about 15 people. Richard did everything on his own, and he did a great job. I look forward to working with everyone over the next year to work out some of the issues the club is having, as Rob has mentioned there are going to be some changes in the way that we keep in contact with everyone in the club... I think that we will end up doing a blanket email once a month, as well as keeping the Realm updated, and for those that look forward to getting a newsletter, we are going to keep it going quarterly instead of monthly. This is mainly do to the fact that there is NO ONE that has been contributing to it. We will use it to keep people informed about our larger events, ie. the spring show, the AGM, the summer auto-x and show, and the x-mas party.

We had a lot to talk about in a short time as I had to go get my kids. If anyone has any suggestions or concerns please feel free to talk to anyone on the executive.

and the next meeting is going to be at Ron S. house on July 9th hope to see you all there.

I snapped one picture of the crowd, but Malcolm's car was at the other end of the lot, banished (so he gets a separate picture from later last night)

We will have an editor - Richard - , but we will be revising the whole newsletter likely to a quarterly publication. The biggest issue was content over the past few years, and it's been driving our editors to drink (not literally, but definitely graying our editors). There will be more discussion at the next meeting at Ron S place in July -meeting was set. I urge you all to make it out if you can.

Take care, thanks for the photos Rob.
